Mississippi Bioptic Laws

Bioptics are permitted for driving and to pass the licensure test. 

• Visual Acuity: 20/200 Best Corrected without telescope, 20/50 With Telescope.
• Visual Field: at least 150 degrees.
  
• Bioptic Telescopes: The telescopic power may not exceed 4X.
• There are limitations on the fit and who may prescribe. There are certain training requirements, and a letter from an optometrist or ophthalmologist is required.
